It is a steel sheet Galvalume or Galvanized with a factory-applied paint system, roll-formed into a roofing or cladding profile. The metal coating resists corrosion and the paint adds colour, UV protection and finish.
Galvalume is coated with an aluminium-zinc alloy for superior long-term corrosion resistance; Galvanized is coated with zinc and is a proven, cost-effective option. Alfa offers both, pre-painted.
Roofing sheets are available in 0.30, 0.35, 0.40, 0.45, 0.47, 0.50, 0.55 and 0.60 mm. The right thickness depends on span, purlin spacing and load.
Effective widths are 1.06 m and 1.085 m, with lengths cut to requirement up to 15 metres reducing end laps on long roofs.
RMP is the most economical; SMP suits high-temperature areas; SDP offers strong UV resistance for residential roofing; and PVDF gives the highest UV resistance for coastal, high-rise and facade use. Warranties run up to 10–12 years depending on shade and territory.
Regular moving colours are Sky Blue, Off White, Mist Green and Brick Red, in glossy or matte finish. Other shades are available on request.
